Scifi noir TOUCH SENSITIVE is available for pre-order!
Finally, the day is almost here – the scifi noir novel that YOU GUYS helped get published is coming out on February 7th.
What’s it about, you ask?
John Ballard is a PI with a condition. One in a million born with a sensitivity.
He absorbs the memories of whatever or whoever he touches.
The cops call him in to help on a case, a gruesome murder that only someone with his gift can solve.
But absorbing the memories of the mutilated body is going to send John’s life spiralling out of control. Force him to cross every line, betray everyone who trusts him.
But he wants to find the killer – needs to find her – because the one thing that’s clear about the woman behind the crime, is that she’s a sensitive too…
“A thoroughly modern noir with a twist of scifi”
Here’s a little more to go on…
The book is packed with twists and turns, hidden manipulations and machinations, love and betrayal.
He lives in a world of nothing but moral grey areas, plumbs the depths of depravity on an all too regular basis, savouring the rare glimmers of hope for humanity.
But he’s not the man he once was before he could know the darkest secrets with the briefest of skin contact. He’s seen the very worst in people. It will take his whole world turning on its head to make him find the light again, amidst all that filth.
Hopefully, that’s got your juices flowing… in which case, here are the pre-order links!
FREE short story prequel: ‘A Sensitive Time’
To get you in the mood of what to expect in Touch Sensitive, here’s a stand-alone story that takes place in the world of the novel. It’s more romantic thriller than it is scifi noir, but in around 2000 words it should hopefully give you a flavour of the world the novel takes place in.
Touch Sensitive soundtrack
Every BAM has an official soundtrack, because every BAM is essentially a movie or entire season’s worth of television scrammed into a book jacket – and this scifi noir thriller is no different.
